Amstel House has been open since July 2005. Built in Art Nouveau style the house dates back to 1914 and is located in the Old-Berlin city district called Tiergarten. Now, after two renovations, it is a modern hostel with a 24h reception. It hosts groups, backpackers, families and single travelers.
The hostel is located in a district filled with tradition. With its quiet streets, green parks, various restaurants, and local pubs you'll find a comfortable atmosphere that makes you feel welcome like nowhere else in the city.
Our rooms:
large dorm: equipped with 5 or 6 bunk-beds, lockers for backpacks (bring or buy your own pad-lock), shared facilities on the same floor.
small dorm: equipped with 2 bunk-beds, wash-basin, lockers, chairs and table, shared facilities on the same floor.
private double en-suite: equipped with 2 single beds, shower/ WC en-suite, locker, table, chairs
private single en-suite: equipped with 1 single bed, shower/ WC en-suite, locker, table, chair.
Notice:
Bed linen, towels and breakfast are not included in the accommodation price, but are available at the 24-7 reception for an one-time fee!
We can keep your valuables in our safe at the 24-7 reception. This service is free of charge.

The closest subway station, U-Tumstr., is just a short walk away from Amstel House and is a perfect start to discover Berlin. All of Berlin's famous sights are easily reachable: only 7 minutes to the central station; 15 minutes to Tegel airport, the Reichstag, the Brandenburg Gate and Hackescher Markt; 2 stops with the subway from the Zoo station and the Kurfürstendamm.
Amstel House offers a variety of services: a rich breakfast, tourist information, ticket services, guided tours, Internet, laundry service, bike rental or just a beer while you plan your next endeavor.
