Hamburg has a rich history and there are plenty of places worth a visit. First of all there is the church and town landmark Saint Michaelis, or as locals call it, simply 'Michel'.
From its tower you have fantastic views on the city. If you want to get even higher the planetarium could be a good bet. Of course, if you are looking for something more down-to-earth then the red-light district with the Reeperbahn as well as the Hamburg Fish-Market are definite must sees.
