Not Italian, not Austrian and not German either...Barcelona's cafés (like many things in Catalan culture) are unique.
Although you can find the occasional outlet which resembles the cosines of an Austrian café or the communicative ambience of an Italian Espresso bar the majority of Barcelona's cafés have their own style.
