Cjt T: "The Albert is a classic Brighton pub, and home of the BBC Albert Sessions.
The traditional pub feel is perverted by three downstairs rooms full of some of the wackiest, scruffiest characters in Brighton. The upstairs function room plays host to a wide variety of parties, events and music. There are regular theme nights, such as a Roots Garden reggae session and a Spanish night. And if, come the end of the night, you're still up for it, a merry crowd usually hangs out outside for half an hour on Friday and Saturday nights looking for further pleasures, revelry and debauchery.
What you see is what you get - top gigs, great music, cheap drinks and fine food!!
although very much a music Pub, there's some thing for Art explorers too. The graffiti portrait of John Peel on the wall outside and Banksey's stencils on the Pub wall give this venue iconic status."
