The Beach Lodge is the only beachfront, budget accommodation in Cape Town. We offer a seaside holiday all year round in a gracious Edwardian building, with simple, clean and fresh rooms overlooking sandy beaches and great surf. We're on the main routes to anywhere and also near the train station.
Muizenberg's international Blue Flag Beach is famous for its safe bathing. It's also a very popular surfing spot. Learn to surf or stretch your legs on a long walk - we're at the beginning of a 30 km stretch of white, sandy beach.
Most of our rooms are situated on 2nd floor - some with spectacular views of False Bay and / or the surrounding mountains. All rooms have varnished, sandy-feet-friendly wooden floors that are clean and bright
There are a variety of rooms ranging from single, double, twin, family and dormitory rooms with bunks. A few single rooms have their own private balconies. Separate communal showers for Ladies and Gents are on the 1st and 2nd floors
There is a communal TV lounge (with DSTV) , a self-service kitchen with crockery, cutlery etc and a large dining area - bright and spacious - which opens to a full-length balcony, overlooking the sea and the beach activities - perfect for whale-watching in season.
Guests have access to the Pool table and the mini-Gym. We also have laundry facilities for your convenience. Plenty of parking is available at our entrance. Our neighbors are surf-schools and restaurants.
Historic buildings & museums are in the surrounding area.
The train station is close by - take a trip to Simonstown with beautiful coastal views
Shops, supermarkets, banks and a Post Office are a block away.
We're near the sea-wall walkway to other beaches and to trendy villages further on
There's easy access to the main road to Simonstown and Cape Point
We're close to the highways leading to Kirstenbosch, Cape Town and/or Stellenbosch.
