Our site contains links to websites other than our own. Links could be to advertisers, travel agencies, airlines, or business partners of mycitymate. These sites are not related to mycitymate and may not follow the same privacy policy as mycitymate.

How much information is shared depends on you and the services you use. In general very little personal information is exposed. If you write reviews or comments other users will see your name. You can decide which of your personal information is shown on your profile page by editing your profile options. Nevertheless, we recommend that you exercise caution when deciding to disclose personal information since it might be available to the public.

mycitymate uses 'cookies' to record information. A cookie is a small data file that web sites store on your hard drive when you visit them. For example when you ask mycitymate to "remember me" we store a cookie which has an encrypted version of your mycitymate user id, which we use to fill in the login box for subsequent visits.
Most browsers are set to accept cookies by default. If you prefer, you may set your browser to refuse cookies or to alert you when cookies are being sent. If you choose to disable cookies, or are behind a restrictive company firewall, you may still use the site but may be unable to use some features. We do not use cookies to retrieve any information from your computer or to monitor your internet usage outside of mycitymate.
