When the first "real" mobile phones emerged at the beginning of the 90s Oliver was soon hooked on the technology. Ever since then he has tried to find ways to maximize the use of this gadget. When, in his role as a consultant a few years later, he got deeply involved in the internet craze he wondered how he could combine the mobile and internet world. Looking for ways to achieve this has been one of his passions for the past few years. Another is fine wine. And it just so happens that while drinking a nice bottle of Rioja he and his mate Tom developed the first business idea which would later evolve into mycitymate. Along the way he founded a mobile phone distribution shop and an internet tea shop - both quite successful. Oliver holds a Bachelor in Business Studies from Huddersfield University and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from IESE Business School.

Of course, mycitymate wouldn't be around if it weren't for the support of all of our mates! Many thanks to Tom Ulbrich, Ruby Nath, Marga Serra, Cristina Suárez, Karla Wilde, Matt Fisher, Ari Mukerji, Oliver Helmstädter, Stewart Lewin, Pernille Mobjerg, Lydia Richter, Paul Schulze, Belen Vilana, Robert Virkus, and everyone else who added content, translated stuff, gave feedback, spread the word, and kept us from working ourselves to death!
